The inspiration for this painting were the people and sights at the downtown Des Moines Farmers Market. One needs to go more than once to take in the vendors, people and food at the summer market in an ever-changing event. more »
In this particular landscape, the bridge is a cropped shape, capturing the gentle curve of the structure. The focus was on the curved shape leading the viewer's eye into the picture. more »
The Des Moines landscape of interesting buildings, signage, vehicles and sky shapes captured my attention. Cityscapes interest me and over the years I have painted many different locations in this city and I have found many interesting views and taken lots of reference photographs. more »
