Sunflowers always inspire me to paint them! They are bold and happy flowers and put sunshine into anyone’s life. The variety of colors and their shapes inspire me to paint yet another design in watercolor. This bouquet was painted from my garden, using the luscious mahogany and rust-colored varieties that go well with the bright yellows and golds. I picked a bunch of these and arranged them in a large, plain vase and set it outside on the deck. I usually take many photos from different angles to capture the fresh and lively colors of the flowers.
