A smaller version of the first design — an intimate close-up. The pears have lots of color reflections, and the goblets had lots of bubbles in the glass, which I simplified. What intrigued me was the fruit and handle shapes reflected in the goblet’s stems. more »

Marybeth Heikes was awarded the First Place Cash and Ribbon Prize in the Iowa Watercolor Society’s 28th Annual Exhibition on Sunday, September 11. Pine Rest Christian Health Services recently purchased two of Marybeth Heikes’ original watercolors for their offices in Urbandale.
