Today I’m working on the third goblets design — I had hoped to set up another still life with the new glassware, but the sun isn’t cooperating . This design has four goblets with pears, and I’m observing the reflections in the glass and how the light distorts the shapes behind the glass, creating wonderful abstract patterns. The pears have the pink glow from the glass and there are lots of bubbles in the goblets too. The table has lots of wood-grain texture too. The more I look, the more I see, and I’m hoping to achieve the quality of the transparent glass and solidity of the pears.
