Another disappearing barn from our Iowa landscape, part of my ongoing series of these old structures. I used a photo from my sister-in-law and did some preliminary sketches. Then I used a heavy Crescent watercolor board for the support instead of my usual tempered hardboard because it is a smaller size than I usually work with. Since I began painting and photographing barns in Iowa, I have never found two of the same design. This barn had tiny windows, which caught my eye, and the ladder in front.
