The inspiration for this collage was the color orange. Not wanting to be tied down to a specific thumbnail sketch, I cut out some flower shapes and let it lead me to a different direction. more »
This lovely bouquet was painted from my reference photo taken last spring. The colors are fresh and my goal was to capture the big shapes without getting bogged down with the details. It was a challenge painting this on my easel using the wet-in-wet technique. more »
Now that it’s spring, you will notice my paintings are full of fresh flowers. I love the pale violets and lavenders of the coneflowers, and the orange and rust-colored centers.
