Well, Christmas seems long past, and after a brief break I’m back in the studio with new ideas and new paintings in progress. I have updated my festival schedule with a tentative list of shows. More will be added in the next couple of months.

I was saddened to hear of Andrew Wyeth’s death this month — I have admired his work for as long as I can remember — his subject matter; his work ethic; his compositions. He was one of the most admired American artists of our time. Wyeth said it best: “Art, to me, is seeing… you’ve got to use your eyes as well as your emotion, and one without the other doesn’t work.”
