This composition was inspired by guitars that we saw at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, California, a few years ago. There was a display of many interesting musical instruments and interactive displays. The design possibilities are endless, and the more compositions I paint, the more they evolve. Here I used a limited palette of blues: cobalt, thalo and ultramarine; and I used gray as a neutral base.
