Flowers always inspire me. I love drawing and painting their shapes. The design possibilities are endless.

One of my photos and sketchbook came in handy for this composition. I do not copy the photo but use it as a springboard for the design. My hand-painted acrylic papers are used for the collage. One of the reasons I like working with collage is that the design does not get cluttered up with unnecessary details. Acrylic pigments are thick and textured — another reason why I like working in collage. The colors are bright and saturated, which describes the subject matter perfectly.
